Pine is one of the most widely used types of wood in the Netherlands; many supporting structures, floors and other structures are made from this wood. Not surprisingly, because pine is strong and yet easy to work with. Old buildings that contain this type of wood are being dismantled on a regular basis. Fortunately, we are often able to recover the old pine beams that result from this dismantling. They are expertly stripped of the metal present and the layer of dirt is also removed. The result is a magnificent antique beam that is ready for a new application.

The reclaimed pine beams in our collection are at least thirty years old, and among them are batches of up to eighty years old. Apart from the fact that the warping has largely disappeared from the wood, the beams have acquired a wonderful rustic look. They are therefore very suitable for use in restoration and renovation projects, but they also feel quite at home in a modern environment.
